I enjoy cold therapy, so this roller ball massager caught my interest. It’s a great size for my medium sized (female) hands, and my husband found it comfortable to hold in his larger hands. The silicone band around the middle provides a secure grip and makes it easier to apply a bit more pressure when desired. The ball rolls smoothly, and I actually find the stainless steel cool enough at room temperature to give a soothing effect on my face, eyes, and temples with very gentle pressure. The roller feels sturdy and well made. It’s also very portable and perfect for travel. The roller is a good size for use anywhere on the body. I’ve used the massager both with and without massage oil, and it glides smoothly either way. I haven’t tried the included creams yet, but they’re a nice travel friendly size.TLDR; This is a simple, low tech massager that’s effective at relieving tension and working out muscle knots.
Thanks for the thoughtful review, Amy! We love hearing how versatile the Cryo Ball has been for everything from facial use to everyday recovery. Your detailed feedback is truly appreciated.
I ordered this massage roller ball to help with recovery and injury. This ball is different from a massage gun because you have more precise control and it is rolling rather than pushing toward you. It is also more convenient that using a foam roller, although a foam roller is still helpful when you need stronger pressure. Most of the time I use this roller ball without heating or chilling, but being able to heat/cool is a nice addition for injuries. Cooling is easy in the fridge or freezer. Heating is a bit more involved because you have to use hot water and then you have to worry about the moisture. Similarly, it is nice with the extra creams, but it creates more of a mess and then you have to worry about cleaning it. The size is good in your palm and it makes the roller ball super portable. Glad I ordered this
Thanks so much, Cameron! We're glad the Cryo Ball has earned a spot in your recovery toolkit. It's great to hear you appreciate the control, portability, and flexibility it offers for different recovery needs.
The massage ball is really good quality however it didn't come with enough cream. They provided two packets of cream to use with the massage ball, it will be better if the cream comes in a bottle. The ball is very comforting and works well. It easy to use since the ball rolls around and around really easily. This is also packet size not a big massager that is inconvenience to take during traveling.
Thank you, Poy! We're glad the Cryo Ball's design and smooth rolling action worked well for you. Your feedback about the included creams is helpful, and we're grateful you took the time to share it.
I have other massagers, manual and plug in ones. This one is a nice addition to my collection with its unique stainless ball for hot and cold relief. The roller ball is easy to hold in my palm even with my petite hands. It does make some noise with the plastic housing as the ball rolls around, but it's nothing annoying. Its easy to use with no wires or plug ins needed. The prep is easy as well with the fridge or hot water. I like the cold feature as it's easier for me to just put it in the fridge then use it on my tired body after exercise. It feels so good and the cold therapy is healing on hot sunny days as well. It comes with 2 magnesium lotion packages so that's a nice bonus. It's a bit pricey, but still a good value as it's so easy to use to incorporate into my everyday life. It's well made too so hopefully it will hold up.
Thank you, Rachel! We're so glad the Cryo Ball has found a place alongside your other recovery tools. It's great to hear the cold therapy feature and easy, cordless design have made it a convenient part of your routine.
This is a very good massage roller ball. It is small and compact (~6 cm diameter), easy to store and take on travel. The ball slides very smooth inside the plastic handler. It is relatively easy to disassemble by pressing through the small hole at the bottom.I like that this roller offers two easy-accessible temperature options for use: cold and hot. For me, even at room temperature this steel ball feels really cool. For colder feeling, it is suggested to keep it in fridge. I prefer hot/warm option -- it take the ball out and keep it in hot water for several minutes, then assemble it back and use for my muscle massage. I found that using this warm roller provides very pleasant and relaxing feelings when I roll it on the back of my neck on these sores muscles after day of office/computer work or during headaches, and it works even better for gentle face massaging (along massaging lines) like on the under-eye area, forehead, and jaws -- it is super-relaxing and helps better absorption of skincare products. It can be used for massaging large muscles (leg, arms, back) with gliding or circular motions. The massager comes with two sachets of topical magnesium cream (lavender, eucalyptus) to deliver instant cooling effect for muscles, but I do not like cooling feelings.
Thanks so much for sharing your experience! We love hearing how customers use the Cryo Ball in different ways, and it’s wonderful that the warming feature has become a favorite for your face and neck massage routine.

Amazing product. I am a repeat customer.
excellent
I was originally looking for Vita Bath when I found Coach Soak. So after playing 2 hours of tennis and walking 18 holes the next day my legs needed something. Not sure if it was the hot bath or the Coach Soak that helped, but I'd give 50% credit to each. Clearly Coach Soak is a much better version of an Epsom Salt bath. I've tried Citrus and now onto Eucalyptus which I like a bit better. I keep buying it.

Great Product.Listen, I needed this. I have the HIGHEST energy dog and shin splints are part of my personality now.I LOVE the coolness of the roller. That alone has been a game-changer with my nightly leg pain. Add in the magnesium cream? *Chefs Kiss*The roller is the perfectly palm-sized and super easy to use. I don't want to trade in shin splints for carpal tunnel. The creams have typcal scents for a muscle cream. There is a slight burn, so if you're a woman and you use this post workout, post shower AND shave, DO NOT apply this at that time. It's gonna burn. Apart from that tip, magnesium has been an effective way to help relax tense muscles. I use the lavender one at bedtime and and after a quick roll, I am able to relax enough to fall asleep. I have gastritis, so can't take ibuprofen regularly, so I need alternative methods to help with my dog-induced leg pain. The packs of creams that came with the roller are on the smaller side...but they have a forever customer, which was brilliant on their part. The roller washes easily, though I do wish I could unscrew it all together, bjt understand that could compromise the rollability of the, well, roller. All in all, great product!*Currently wearing the lavender and it burns/cools in the best way!
Thanks so so much for sharing this! We love hearing how the palm-sized roller and lavender cream fit into your evening routine. Feedback like yours helps us keep improving the little details.
I got this for my husband, as he works out a lot and therefore is sort a lot. He also really likes putting cold things on his skin, since he runs hot. He really likes this cryoball. He finds he doesn't really even need to cool it down to enjoy the cool sensation, as the metal ball is cold to the touch even at room temperature. It seems to suck the heat away from skin. I've tried it myself and I also really like it too. I like that it can be heated up as well, although we haven't yet needed to test this feature. I have a feeling this will get a lot of use in our house.
Thank you for the kind words! We're glad the Cryo Ball has already become a useful part of your routine. It's wonderful to hear the cooling sensation stood out and that it's getting plenty of use.
Last night I was at a postcard writing event to get out the vote. Besides my hand being cramped from writing, my shoulder has a knot in it from the way I must have been sitting. This morning, I am achy so I opened up this massage roller ball to give it a try.Inside the box I found the stainless steel ball inside its plastic housing and two packets of magnesium cream (lavender & eucalyptus). The directions are on the side of the box. The plastic housing also has a removable silicone band around it for a better grip.I did not use the magnesium cream. I'm not keen on the scents of eucalyptus and/or lavender; plus, I wasn't sure how magnesium or any other ingredients would interact with the prescription medications I take. I needed to see the ingredients and found a list on the back of the packets. However, the type is so small that I needed a magnifying glass to see them (I've included a magnified photo of them in this review so others can see/know). I've since looked up interactions and I shouldn't have a problem; further, it appears that a topical cream is less likely to cause interactions with oral meds (caveat... talk with your doctor if unsure). IMO, if you sell something with ingredients, they should be easily read and/or listed on the website for people that take meds or have specific allergies to make an informed decision.I'd like to thank the other reviewer that included a video. I did not realize that the ball can be pushed out of the housing via the hole on the bottom - duh, I kept trying to unscrew the housing to no avail. When I tried the roller just out of the box, it was already cold and felt good on my hand and shoulder; however, I really wanted to try heat. I popped the ball out and put it in a bowl of water boiled from the teapot. I let it sit for about 15 minutes, spilled out the water, then let it sit another 15 minutes until I could touch it. I then popped it back into the housing and gave it a go... it felt great!I've used a hard ball to roll on my aches before; however, the housing on this product makes it so much easier to do. I didn't freeze it, but it worked well out of the box (because it was already cold) and functioned very well while hot. It did help relieve the pain in my hand and I'm still working on the shoulder. I'd like to suggest including a drawstring bag for storage, keeping it clean, and portability. The price point at ≈$28 is on the high side compared to other stainless steel roller balls; however, most others don't come with the cream.
Thank you for the detailed review, Colleen! We're glad the Cryo Ball was able to provide some comfort for your hand and shoulder, and it's great to hear you enjoyed both the cooling and warming options. We also appreciate your thoughtful suggestions regarding ingredient visibility and storage.
This is such a cool idea for massaging sore muscles. The metal roller ball itself feels good when used on sore spots, but the fact that you can use it hot or cold and with the magnesium recovery cream makes it even better. And it's so easy to use, literally roll it over your sore areas. It's convenient to store in your medicine cabinet or to take in your gym bag because it's small and portable.I know it's impossible, but I wish you could microwave it for quicker heating! Sitting it in a bowl of water for 5-10 minutes isn't exactly convenient, but it works well to heat it. And to make it cold, you stick it in the freezer for two hours. Again, not the most convenient, but if you plan ahead of time, you can have it ready when you're finished a workout, or when you know you'll have time to use it.I'm not sure what magnesium does, but it's great that two different creams are included for use; it makes the massager an even better value. You can really dig it in deep for your muscles, too. I use it on my neck and shoulders a lot, with the ball hot and cold. It's a high-quality product that's well worth the price.
Thanks for the thoughtful review, SZellmer! We love hearing how the Cryo Ball fits into your recovery routine, whether at home or on the go. Your feedback on the heating process is appreciated, and we're glad the overall experience has been a positive one.
I ordered the Coach Soak Massage Roller Ball, 2X Magnesium Cream Included. The product came in a giftable box.. The is no information on where the product originates but it is made for a Finnish company. I prefer products that clearly have the country of origin labeled and where a company is registered is not always the same as where the products are produced. I took off one star due to the lack of this information being clearly displayed on the product. There are no expiration dates on the 2 10 g sample sachets of Magnesium cream but a manufacture date of 7/24 is included. The massager in interesting in that you can use it hot or cold with a little preparation. I prefer to be warm over cold so I tried that method and found the rollerball soothing and easy to use. I particularly like the silicone band around the handle which makes the massager easy to hold securely and the fit in my hand is nice. I found the massager to be very functional and was effective in providing relief on sore muscles. Some people seemed to have an issue popping the ball out of the handle. It is easy if you can insert your finger into the bottom hole and push, it goes in and out easily this way.I have only tried the lavender magnesium cream. I was surprised to find it heavily menthol scented. Menthol is by far the top note and overpowers the lavender. It also provides the typical cooling/ warming effect. I did like the cream and found it relaxed me. I wish more cream had been included with this kit, at 20 g total its too small of an amount to even take into consideration when looking at the value this set provides. Unfortunately I find that this set provides a poor value at just over $25 for the rollerball. If a more substantial cream were included, I'd put this at a fair value.I am pleased with the functionality of this set and would consider buying the magnesium cream on it's own. I wouldnt buy this kit again without a significant price drop from $25.
Thank you for the detailed feedback, Tom. We're glad the rollerball itself felt functional, soothing, and easy to hold, and we appreciate your notes on labeling, cream size, and overall value as we continue improving.
So not even going to lie I took this directly out of the package after delivery and put it on my wife's back and about got hit it was so cold already. The massager kicks off some serious cold even sitting on my table at room temperature. My wife was not a fan of it once it had set in the freezer for a few hours but honestly I love it after coming home from work on my legs. The cold it kicks through into my knee and legs just feels amazing. On my feet the cold feels good but I haven't been able to work it in as good as I would like into the muscles. It is cleanable but I haven't tried to remove it from the housing yet a bit worried I will break something. My lack of trying to remove the ball itself has had me to avoid the creams right now as to not make it a mess because if I cannot remove it then not sure I would want that cream getting inside and sitting in the massager and ruining it. I like it so far so trying to keep it nice. The ball itself seems like a quality stainless ball so i wouldn't think much would affect it. It is easy to use right out of the pack and it is easily portable if you need to take it on the go. Overall the ball slides extremely smooth and like I said before it kicks some cold where you need it most so it gets a solid thumbs up in my books.
Thanks for sharing your experience, Noble 1! It's fantastic to hear the Cryo Ball has become a favorite for tired legs after a long day. We appreciate your thoughtful feedback and are glad it's earning a solid thumbs up.

All the reviews are of this cold, so I wanted to try it for the intention of why I got it: which is for the heat aspect.I used my Ninja DualBrew Pro and set the water to "hot." Temperature read 130 after it was done dispensing the amount I wanted. Left it in the bowl of hot water for 5 mins and then removed it with tongs as straight out the water was intense. I then set it aside for 10 mins to see how it would feel because unless rolling over light clothing, the heat was perfect for my husband but still too much for me. After 10 mins lapsed, I was actually able to comfortably roll it over my neck and shoulders without issue. The heat was just right. My husband has much thicker skin and can tolerate far more heat than I can, so use caution and adjust to your preferences. After about 20 mins it was a mild heat which I could then let sit in one area and focus more on tension spots. There is a "draining" hole at the bottom of the holder which I also used to pop the ball out of, which I easily can do with one hand. So it's easy to remove for cleaning and stays inside the holder securely once you press it back in.This is comfortable to hold and rolls smoothly over areas like back, neck and legs with ease. The rubber grip prevents my fingers from slipping so I'm able to use pressure while rolling while maintaining a comfortable grip.I like that this comes with a magnesium cream because it is a product I have used for years in ballet. I now use it for my daughter's legs after her ballet classes and for my husband. Use with or without a cream, but being easy to disassemble the roller; there is no issue in cleaning. Using the roller and cream together is an extremely soothing and effective routine for any tight or painful areas.I appreciate the multi-function use of freezing or heating the ball depending on your specific needs. So far I've only used it hot and it's effective in relieving neck tension.
Belle, thank you for taking the time to leave such a thorough review! We're delighted that the versatility, easy cleaning, and comfortable handling all met your expectations. Hearing how well the heated therapy worked for you means a lot to our team.
Wasn’t sure what to expect from this massage ball. I like the concept but just wasn’t sure how it would work with the creams. I feel like I would never be able to get it fully clean. I know some reviewers mentioned removing the ball from the base unit but honestly I couldn’t get it to come out. All that being said, I did like how cold it got in the freezer. And when I used it on my sore muscles, the ball rolled smoothly without getting hung up. Plus the cold felt really good. I haven’t tried it hot so I can’t comment yet on that. Nor have I used it with any recovery cream and not sure if I will or not. But I can see the benefits of combining the roller ball massage with a cream. It does come with 2 pouches of cream, one in lavender and the other in eucalyptus. I’m sure it would work fine with whatever your go-to is, but it’s nice to have some samples to try. Overall I’m happy with this product. It will definitely get a lot of use. But I do think it’s a bit overpriced at $28.
Thank you for sharing your experience, littleitaly112! We're glad to hear the cooling effect and smooth rolling action worked well for your sore muscles. We also appreciate your honest feedback on cleaning and value, it helps us continue improving.
Pros-surprisingyl cold at room temp!nice weight to it, does feel massaging while using (although hand kind of cramps holding it to apply)lotions smell niceCons-there's a big gap in the back unit so the ball flops around, awkward to clean and I am unsure that I am getting it fully clean in the closed areas. I can just picture lotion hardening and rotting in heretbh I had imagined it was more of a built-in lotion applicator but between the single-use packets and frequent washing, this seems like a bit more effort than I find practical for regular use personally
Thank you for the honest feedback, Artist! We're glad the cooling effect, weight, and massage experience stood out to you. We also appreciate your thoughts on cleaning and usability, as feedback like this helps us continue improving.
I was excited to discover this new type of massage tool—a stainless steel massage roller with a silicone handle. It attracted my attention with its combination of lightness, portability, ease of use, and effectiveness without needing a power source. That's because I regularly use a massage gun or shiatsu massager to relieve stiffness and pain in my thighs and hips. However, I can only use them at home because they're fairly bulky, heavy to carry, and require a full battery charge. For the past several days, I've taken this new roller with me on daytime walks. During a break, I actively massaged my glutes and thighs through my clothing. Afterwards, I felt much better as I continued my walk. Therefore, I happily recommend this incredibly lightweight, durable, and user-friendly device to everyone.
Thanks for the thoughtful review, Leonid! We designed the Cryo Ball with portability in mind, so it's wonderful to hear it's helping you stay active without the bulk of larger recovery tools. We appreciate your recommendation.
